Rainwater Harvesting

The Aquascape Rainwater Harvesting System (RainXchange) is a sustainable solution for water conservation and storm water management.

Capturing and reusing rainwater reduces the community's demand on the municipal water supply, reduces the owner's water bills, and helps avoid strict water schedules and bans.  Rainwater harvesting can also be a solution for managing storm water run-off and decreasing flooding.

Steps to Installing Your Rainwater Harvesting System

Step 1 - Choose The Water Storage System - each Aquascape Rainwater Harvesting System Water Storage Kit includes:  Pondless Waterfall Vault Extension(s), AquaBlox, 45 mil EPDM Liner, and two pieces of non-woven geotextile underlayment (one to surround the AquaBlox and one to surround the exterior of the EPDM liner).  The Kits come in a variety of storage capacities - 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000 Gallon.

Step 2 - Choose the Water Feature - once you have selected the appropriate kit for the size of Rainwater Storage System you plan to install, you can then add a decorative fountain feature, a pondless waterfall or simply add a Downspout Filter to collect the water from your downspouts.

  • Rainwater Harvesting Fountain Add-On Kit - select from a number of decorative bubbling urns and stone fountains (sold separately) that sit on top of the Aquascape Rainwater Harvesting System.  The water spills over the top of the decorative piece and flows back down into the Rainwater Harvesting Storage System where it is then re-circulated.  This kit includes a Pondless Waterfall Vault, Downspout Filter, AquaSurge 2000-4000 Adjustable Flow Pump, Kink Free Pipe, Overflow Kit and a decorative fountain Component Bag

  • Rainwater Harvesting Pondless Waterfall Add-On Kit - this water feature is made up of a waterfall or stream that flows and then disappears gracefully into the gravel.  This kit includes a Pondless Waterfall Vault, Waterfall Spillway, Downspout Filter, AquaSurge 2000-4000 Adjustable Flow Pump, LED Lighting Package, Flexible PVC Pipe, Overflow Kit and an installation kit.

  • Rainwater Harvesting Downspout Filter - the Downspout Filter is installed at the bsae of the downspout ready to capture and remove ta variety of debris that may be flushed into the system during a rain event.  Incoming rainwater is passed through a series of mechanical filters that remove leaves, twigs, seeds, and small sediment that accumulates on the surface of the roof between rain events.  The dowspout filter handles up to a 1,500 square foot roof and more then 50 gallons per minute flow rate.  The Downspout Filter can be added onto any water feature to top off the water level and make is sustainable

Step 3 - Choose the Decorative Fountain - to finish off your Rainwater Harvesting System you can choose any of the decorative fountains that Aquascape sells including the Slate Spheres, Urns and Natural Stone Basalt columns

** Please note - kits are special order but will arrive in 1 to 4 weeks after ordering.  Due to the size of these kits, extra shipping charges will apply.
